Town of Shallotte Hazard Mitigation Plan
The Town of Shallotte Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies and assesses our community's natural hazard risks and determines how to best minimize or manage those risks. The Town of Shallotte is participating in the Brunswick County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is currently available on Brunswick County's website.
The Shallotte Community Hazard Mitigation Plan was adopted by the Board of Aldermen in November 2003 and was set to expire in November of 2009. Rather than update this plan, the Town has decided to participate in the Brunswick County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, which is available on Brunswick County's website. The purpose of the plan is to identify and assess our community's natural hazard risks and determine how to best minimize or manage those risks.
