3.15.26 Discharge Notice

In accordance with that regulation, the following news release has been prepared and issued to media in the affected county.

       The Town of Shallotte has had a discharge of untreated wastewater from our force main located at 613 Columbus of approximately 800 gallons.  The discharge occurred on the morning of March 15th 2026 for less than an hour.  Flow was immediately stopped and all visible loss of wastewater was recovered.  The broken line was immediately repaired to prevent further discharge.  This notice was required by North Carolina General Statutes, Article 21, Chapter 143.215.1C  For more information contact the Town of Shallotte at 910.754.4032.
