D.A.R.E Program
Shallotte began its first D.A.R.E program September 2022 in partnership with Southeastern Christian Academy.
What is D.A.R.E?
Teaching Students decision making for Safe & Healthy Living.
D.A.R.E envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence substance use, and other dangerous behaviors.
Bike Patrol
The goal of bike patrol is to find a balance between Public Relations and Law Enforcement. Using the bicycle is a great took to interact with the community in a positive manner, but also is very effective in crime reduction.
School Tours
We welcome schools, groups etc to our Police Department to hear staff explain day to day operations and even get to tour the Police Station. Groups can also tour Fire Station and Admin Office.
Pack the Cruiser
Pack the cruiser is our local school supply drive.
Back to School Supply Campaign
Back to School Supply drive is held every August. They collect all school supplies for grades K-12. Supplies are distributed to the local public schools.
