The administrative assistant is an assistant to the Town Administrator and Public Works Director. The person in this position acts as the Planning Board Secretary as well.
The Planning Department reviews all construction and development proposals that are proposed within the Town limits and the one-mile extra-territorial jurisdiction of the Town. Most construction or business related activity in the Town requires a zoning compliance permit. Depending on the activity, the Town may refer you to the Brunswick County Building Inspections Department for a building permit. Please contact this office prior to conducting any activity that may require a zoning compliance permit.
